Cards developed from Gustave Caillebotte¡¯s Paris Street; Rainy Day, 1877; ?douard Manet¡¯s The Races at Longchamp, 1866; Edgar Degas¡¯s The Millinery Shop, c. 1879-86; Henri Fantin-Latour¡¯s Still Life with Flowers, 1881; Pierre-Auguste Renoir¡¯s Two Sisters (On the Terrace), 1881, from The Art Institute of Chicago¡¯s collection. The Department of Painting and Sculpture of Europe oversees a collection, considered one of the finest in the world, which comprises more than 4,000 works dating from the 12th through the late 19th century.
